Flipping

Tap the coin or the Flip coin button. You can also swipe up on the coin, or switch on Shake to flip in the settings. The result appears when the coin has landed.

Is It Fair?

Yes. The result is decided by Android’s secure random generator the moment you flip, before the animation starts. Heads and tails each have a 50% chance, and the number of turns is random, so you cannot read the result from the motion. Streaks are normal with real chance: in 32 flips, five identical results in a row happen more often than not.

Best of 3, 5 or 7

Choose Best of above the statistics. The score is shown below the result; the first side to win the majority wins the series. The next flip starts a new series.

Your Own Labels

Settings → Own labels lets you name both sides, for example Yes / No or Pizza / Sushi. The coin, statistics, widget and tile then use your labels.

Statistics

The card shows the share of heads and tails, your current streak, your record and the latest flips. Tap it for the history and to delete the statistics. You can hide the card in the settings.

Settings → Add home screen widget, or long-press your home screen, choose Widgets and add TrueToss. Tap the widget to flip right there.

Quick Settings Tile

Settings → Add Quick Settings tile (Android 13 and later). On older versions, open Quick Settings, tap the pencil and drag “Coin flip” into place. One tap flips; the tile shows the result. Widget and tile flips are added to the app’s statistics.

Sound, Vibration and Edge Landing

Sound and vibration can be switched off in the settings. Edge landing adds a rare, just-for-fun result of about 1 in 6000; it never changes the 50:50 split between heads and tails.

Privacy and Battery

TrueToss needs no permissions and no account; flips stay on your device. Animations and the shake sensor only run while the app is open. See the Privacy Policy.

A small banner keeps TrueToss free. Under Support me you can watch a short video to pause the banner for 30 minutes, or support the app via PayPal. Nothing is unlocked; all features work without either.
